Civil Engineering is the branch which deals with basic needs for
survival of human being i.e. air, water
and shelter. Various aspects of Civil Engineering includes building planning
and design which is must for optimized and useful construction of buildings. Structural
Engineering deals with analysis and design of RCC structures, steel structures and
prestressed structures. Water Resources Engineering is necessary to know about
occurrence and distribution of water and design of various hydraulic
structures. Now a days because of water scarcity water conservation it the need
of time which comes under this branch of Civil Engineering. To start any type
of construction activity surveying is must which deals with horizontal,
vertical and inclined measurements. Water supply and sanitary engineering is
necessary for the supply of water to any building and taking out the effluents.
Engineering Geology, highway and transportation engineering also forms
important part of civil engineering. Because of the above aspects civil
engineering is the branch which gives wide verity of applications and
opportunities to the students in ever growing construction world.
